From time to time at VeroHomeBlog.com I will spotlight local businesses that I feel provide excellent service and a benefit to consumers. Whether it be a local restaurant, interior designer, or in this case disc jockey, we will examine businesses that may help you in the future.

If you have lived in Vero Beach long enough, chances are you have bumped into Ed Meade over the years. He is the owner of Class Act Productions & Entertainment. He has been a fixture around town for over 20 years. What makes Ed unique is that he is the rare blend of nightclub dj and high-end wedding professional. Ed currently plays at the Riverside Cafe on Thursday & Friday nights and most weekends is Master of Ceremonies and Disc Jockey at Vero Beach’s finest weddings and events. I had seen Ed perform at a recent wedding and he never ceases to deliver a top-notch  performance. His musical knowledge is unparalleled. For one, he has the largest CD library of any DJ locally with literally over 10,000 CD’s in his library. Although, he has digitally transferred them to his computer system for easy recall during an event. Because of Ed’s musical knowledge, he is comfortable playing all styles of music at any type of event. Whether it be Jazz, Rock, Disco, Funk, Country, Oldies, or today’s latest dance tracks he can seemlessly flow from one song to the another while keeping the dancefloor packed.

Ed is highly recommended at Vero’s top catering facilities and is also a Certified Wedding Consultant. He can assist brides in the planning of every detail of their ceremony and reception. Scott Varricchio

Coming late November or early December will be the Citrus Grillhouse, which will occupy 4,700 square feet of oceanfront space in the new Ocean Park project. Scott Varricchio has been tapped to be the Chef and his plans for the restaurant will be a little different than what you might expect. Scott plans to keep it more casual and envisions a more community-based restaurant. Varricchio hopes that diners will frequent the restaurant more regularly and not go their for just special occasions. He just may do that with entree prices expecting to be in the $15-20 range as opposed to the $30-40 range that one might expect for such a setting. Scott Varricchio has worked previously as sous chef at Ouest and Cesca in New York and also worked at Picasso in the Bellagio Hotel & Casino.
